"September 11, 2006"

The harvest has started. As you read each year in the press, the vintage 2006 will be exceptional, better than 2005 and without a doubt the vintage of the century. To be serious, the necessity to sell wine should not lead us to make ridiculous pronouncements. At Domaine de Mirail, we will do everything we can to carefully vinify the grapes that we have cultivated with care throughout the year. The order of the harvest is the following:Folle Blanche, Merlot, Syrah, Colombard, Cabernet Sauvignon and Gros Manseng. All the grapes are harvested by hand except the Colombard which is harvested at night so that it is picked at the coolest possible temperatures.
